Aspö Writing Lab heads to the vibrating backstreets of Shoreditch, London. Our goal: Stronger screenplays enriched by diversity.

We are exited once again to collaborate with award winning professor, screenwriting coach and Wift member Marilyn Horowitz, New York, director Zanyar Adami & actors, and many more of the best creative minds in the industry. Join us June 19 - 21st 2017!

Your scene performed live!
Have your scene performed live by actors and overseen by a professional director. Get valuable feedback that will help you to improve not only your scene, but the rest of your screenplay. You can also have your scene recorded.

What a producer wants (and doesn't want!) in a screenplay - and why diversity matters
Meet producers and screenwriting gurus from Sweden, New York and London who will discuss what producers want and don't want in a screenplay, and the importance of diversity. A unique opportunity to explore the craft of screenplays with some of the best minds in the industry.

We watch and analyze film, and work in progress and finished short films by Aspö Writing Lab delegates.

Aspö Writing Lab London is produced in collaboration with Women in Film and Television (WIFT).


How to apply

Your application should include:

  • A key scene from your screenplay (3-4 minutes). Max 5 actors (the screenplay doesn't need to be finished, only the scene).
  • A few words about yourself and why you'd like to join Aspö WritingLab in London

Once  your application has been accepted you will recieve information how to pay for the class. You can then secure your place by paying the class fee.

  • Class fee: 250 UK pound + VAT
  • Film fee: 50 UK pound + VAT per filmed scene.
  • Included: Writing Lab + lunch/coffee breaks
  • NOT included: Travel + accomodation
  • Option: We are looking for a larger apartment for sharing of accommodation. Contact us if you are interested!
